{Mothers} Day

One day to celebrate mothers scarcely does justice to the long hours of motherhood in a lifetime,

to the diapers changed,

faces washed,

shoes tied,

owies kissed,

meals made,

clothes washed,

chores overseen,

toys picked up,

books read,

fights stopped,

consequences made,

van-rides driven,

concerts heard,

sports cheered,

trips planned,

lessons taught,

wisdom advised,

selflessness modeled,

and

love given.

One day to honor mothers scarcely does justice to the long hours of motherhood in a lifetime, because every one of those hours makes us children who we are.

Thank you, Mom, for the hours invested in such a way that I now look back on those growing years and can only say, "wow".
