Brave

start ~

There are so many paradoxes, seemingly, in the Bible.

if you lose your life, you will find it

the last will be first

if you humble yourself, you will be exalted

you no longer live, but Christ lives in you

And I wonder, how do we look at "brave" if put in terms of paradox?

The bravest people I know have been facing blank unknowns and black fears, and though they are weak, His strength is made perfect in them, and they put one foot in front of the other, fixing their eyes on Christ and trusting Him, though the world screams "fool".

Brave.

Is it courageously charging in, knowing we will win, or is it wanting to turn and run, yet knowing God will fight for us, and we need only to be still . . .

  1. Love this one! Love the way you incorporated scripture and your use of "blank unknowns" because that is exactly what they feel like. The unknown is quite blank and quite scary and very much requires bravery.

  4. This is truly what bravery is, "facing blank unknowns and black fears, and though they are weak, His strength is made perfect in them, and they put one foot in front of the other"
